Definitely 10-12. 1-3 is prime napping time for both my kids (10m and almost 3).

Everyone pretty much already said it, but I'd go with the 10:00 slot. Most of the other kids will want to nap around 1:00, so that's not an ideal time for a party.

10-12. For that age group, pretty much every kid naps in the afternoon and only some in the morning. My kid still napped in the morning, but it was fine if we cut it short or had him nap early.

1pm was prime naptime until my daughter was almost 4 so, I always say go early or go late. We did 4pm for first birthday but I think 10-12 would be best.

That's tough!! But I would go with the 10-12 time... most kids 1yr+ nap from 12-2, so I would cut the party off before that.

I voted the earlier timeslot but neither is ideal - DD is still on two naps, and the only timeslot I can reliably count on being able to get her out of the house is like 2-6pm. That's a tough call. The 10-12 is more doable since she typically wakes from her first nap by 10 unless it's a long one.

10-12, just because I feel like most kids are the 1-3 nap slot including DD1. Maybe try to get DD2 to nap a little earlier if possible?

I think most of the guests are likely to nap around noon, so I would pick the early slot and try to put ny kid down for her morning nap extra early.

Oops, I just voted wrong (for 10-12). I would do the later time so the birthday girl is happy at her party and I feel like an older kid can better handle missing a nap (though you know her and how she'll be much better!).

Yeah I would make the older kid miss nap so that birthday kid can be fresh.

Oh this is so hard based on the nap schedules you have talked about... I guess I would pick the later one because I feel like a 3.5 year old can tough out a missed nap a bit better than a 1 year old? But only you know your kids and know if that is true.

10:00 a.m. Actually, with all the excitement, my DD completely skipped her nap for her 1:00 party and she wasn't too cranky.

The venue we're having DD2's first birthday party has two time slots we can choose from:

10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm

I can't decide which one to go with because DD2 still takes two naps so if we go with 10am she will have to skip her morning nap and I'm afraid she might turn into miss cranky pants at the party. On the flip side, 1pm-3pm is DD1's nap time (she's 3.5) and she regularly naps for 2 hours. Most of the kids attending are between ages 1-5. Which time slot would you choose?
