Our zoo closes when it gets dark so I voted for the early one that way you can enjoy the zoo more

I would choose 11-1. This way if any of the kids still take naps, it would be before it. Also, it is right during lunch time! Also, if anyone wants to spend the afternoon there, they can.

@californiadreams: good point! Hopefully my family will be here for it and one of them can walk laps around the building. 😂 Or I'm sure BIL & his GF could meet us there early since they live very close by.

@autumnlove: I'm leaning that way. I've heard it's really fun for the kids and perfect for this age group!

@T.H.O.U.: :) early bedtime for #2.

Voting as a parent of both an 18 month old and an older child, I would say go with the earlier time over lunch.

Ha, both times hit nap times. I prefer to fudge the morning nap and have afternoon nap at home.

since you are having pizza, i would do it over lunch time 11-1. Also that way the guests can have more time after to visit the rest of the zoo if they wish. For DD2, i would get there early before her nap starts and do a stroller nap if she does okay with those.

We've decided to have our daughter's 4th Birthday at the zoo. She LOVES animals so this will be perfect.

Anyway, they have two time options:
11am - 1 pm and 2-4pm.

There is no option to add on time or start at a different time.
Included with our party cost is zoo admission. Which means guests can choose to visit the zoo afterwards. But during the party we will be getting a guide led tour of 1-2 exhibits.
DD2 will be 20 months and she still naps. Which means 11-1 would be a hard time for her because that's usually about when she naps. But we could hope for a early car nap. But the zoo isn't that far away which means we would wake her up early...

Anyway, as the host, which time would you choose? As the guest, which time would you prefer?

And yes, there will be pizza and juice.

All guests with the exception of 2 kids will be 3.5 and older.

Thanks!
