We have the first one. LO got it for Christmas when he was 8 months old. He still plays with it and he will be two at the end of the month. Right now he pushes it around chasing our dog. ;)

Someone brought us the first one as a handme down when he was just turning 1... I wish they brought it sooner! He loved it and it really helped him walk, honestly... Still in a natural way. He still plays with it daily at 15 months.

#1! We don't have it but we have the leaf frog table which looks the same (but is stationary) and she LOVES to bang on it! Heck, even my 3 year old still likes to bang on it!

For a walker we got the Melissa and Doug alligator chomp chomp one (haven't used it with A yet, but N loved it)

The first one has been a big hit in our family. All the cousins keep passing it on to the next. My LO loved it until she was well over two and she would have kept playing with it but we passed it to the next kid.

@simplyfelicity: my 2.5 yo has the first one and played with it everyday for like a year - she got it when she was 10 months old and was steadily walking a month later so she never really needed it as a walker toy, but she loved it just the same. Even now, when we have play dates, someone is always using it, even old kids.

We actually had two similar ones. The are both very light weight so you have to have a pretty sturdy walker so they dont push the walker out from under themselves.

The bottom one is a fun scooter but has a very wide seat to it. It was hard for my kids to really scoot on but they still loved it.

Both of these can often be bought used for 30% of retail price.

@simplyfelicity: DS still plays with the first one.

Tip of the trade: Don't hose it off. I have no clue what I was thinking, I told my husband that I had cleaned it with the hose outside and he was like, "wait isn't it electronic?!" I replied not to worry that I had turned it off before hosing it off. He then asked me if I would hose off my computer if it was off. DUH.

We have the first one and my daughter loved it. I do feel like it's use was pretty short lived though, because she abandoned it as soon as she started walking. The sounds are also really annoying, it just never stops making noise. But she was just as happy to play with it without the sound.

DS is 9 months old  and is having a blast cruising around and loves to try to walk. He's grown out of a lot of his more "babyish" toys, so I am trying to decide what to get him next. I like the idea of getting him a push toy that does more than one thing. I have these options and was hoping to get some feedback...

option 1: the front of this can be taken off for baby to play with on floor and provides lots of seated play time. it can also be used as a walker. It seems like a lot of fun but since DS is already 9 months (I wish I had gotten him this at 5 months or so,) I am afraid it won't get as much use as I would like. DS really has like zero light up toys (not purposely but just coincidence.) He has lots of balls, zany zoo, etc.

Option 2: I like that this one turns into a scooter for a bit later but the front is very boring and could only be used as a walker for now.

Thoughts?
