we are planning on getting a city mini double off craigslist -- i see them hovering around 300$ for last year's model pretty often! and this is on our overpriced-vancouver-craigslist -- so i imagine you may be able to find the same thing for under 300$ in the states :)

we also have a chicco carseat and will either look for the attachment for the double on craigslist, or shell out the dough for it at the store :) we were/are REALLY happy with our city mini single + chicco car seat combo we use right now! :)

Getting the Britax B Agile double from NBD. It's more than $300 (370ish) but they *always* have it on NBD for around $190-230. I am going to start stalking in a daily basis until I get it. It really is on there like 1-2x a month! That's a lot.
It had a car seat adaptor and reclines and has 2 desperate canopies....
I loooooove my b agile single so, I'll love this too. Plus, it's not wide. It's the width of a City DOuble and that fits through standard doorways.

@Bao: I think it's only compatible with a Combi infant carseat. Not sure how other brands would do in it. It should be at BRU since I see it on their website.

We have the Britax B-Agile double and LOVE it. It's around $300 - have seen it just under but I think the usual price is $340. And I totally agree that side by sides handle WAY better than tandems. Our double snap and go is a bear to navigate.

@Mrs. High Heels: @SAHM0811: very interesting! Do they sell this one in stores like BBB or babies r us? I'd like to go test drive ;) does it allow an infant seat to sit in it, or no?

I've had tandems and side-by-sides and have found that for us, side-by-sides are easier to maneuver... In our case, they handled the kids' weight differences much better. Tandems are tougher to steer and turn, IMO!

@Bao: Haha so you did! I can maneuver this one pretty easily and one of the reasons I went with this one is that it can fit through all doorways. It's not much wider than my single stroller (I have a britax b-agile).

N loves to put her feet up on the handlebars... and they really enjoy sitting next to each other in the stroller. I heard the tandem ones were hard to maneuver, but I've never had firsthand experience with them so my assumption is just through word of mouth and reading reviews.

I think I'm going to go with the combi twin sport - I have a truck so I could go with a big bulky double stroller but I can't see myself using one. I find my single travel system stroller big and I can't imagine something bulkier!
I'm also keeping both my single strollers so DH and I can take one kid out alone or 1 each together if we want to.

Edit- it's in and around $200

Just bought the combi sport double stroller from albeebaby - it's a side by side one though. So far so good, and very easy to maneuver. Goes through all doorways.

Here's a pic from this weekend - J just turned 5 months and seems comfy in it. For the smaller baby, you can recline them too.

@Bao: I know there are lighter/less bulky double out there for under $300, so the Graco may not be the right one for you, but like I said, I really liked that it has so many seating options. That was the main draw for us, and I'm not sure there are other strollers in that price range that offer so many arrangements. :)

We have the Graco Ready2Grow stroller. Honestly, we don't use it much, but we're just not a stroller family. My kids have always preferred to walk or hang out in the carrier, rather than ride in a stroller. Otherwise, though, I like that it's so customizable. It comes with two seats, a bench, and a kickboard, so as one kid gets older, s/he can sit or stand rather than ride in a seat. I also don't find it bulky/unmanageable, but like I said, we don't use it much.

We will be needing a double stroller so I've started my research. I love our Chicco single stroller, but not sure which route to go for a double. It would be nice if our Chicco car seat could snap onto it but it's not necessary. I prefer a tandem one vs a side by side, but also open to options as long as it isn't super bulky. Which double stroller do you have, and why do you love it?
