My son had the same push walker and used a regular sit in walker and walked on his first birthday. We love it, but he will push anything through the house and actually prefers a short stool with his name in a puzzle form that is from One Step Ahead. He will push chairs, barstools, bags of dog food; literally anything that moves. No wheels required. I do think there must be confusion on types of walkers that are banned.
