I use Behr "ultra white". It really is just a pure white with no undertones. I've used it on all my trim in semi gloss and on my bedroom walls in eggshell and ceilings in flat. In our bedroom we have one accent wall that is a green/teal color, so the pure white next to it looks really good.

It's really really white, so you'd have to want it to not have any hints of blue/yellow in it.

@autumnlove: Swiss Coffee was a contender for my LO's room! What a lovely colour.

Benjamin Moore's Decorator's white is a true white. There are a ton of options if you want something that leans more toward a cream, or a blue.

I love white rooms too! I wanted to paint LO's room white but decided to leave it the colours it is now (beige and brown) until we move.

You do not need to use a high gloss, but do not choose something matte either or you will have trouble keeping the walls clean looking.

We used super high gloss white paint in our apartment because it's so easy to clean, but yeah the glossiness is not the nicest looking.

@hellocupcake: no advice on colors but use an eggshell finish - its wipeable unlike flat paint - I only use glossy in bathrooms

@candymum: Do you have a glossy finish or how do you keep the walls clean? I want the walls to be easy to wipe up and clean but I feel like high gloss can look "cheap" if that's the word I'm looking for.. :/ our house has flat beige walls and even though I'm not a fan of the color the finish is nice :)

Thank you guys for the advice :)

I actually have just white walls. So no tint added, it's the whitest white and I think it makes our house look really fresh and clean. Especially since it's small. One wall in the nursery is a grey similar to a chalkboard color and works nicely.

I have been playing with ideas for DS's room. I'm not a fan of "nurseries", so I'm picturing something clean with simple colors. Maybe a white room with black furniture and gray accents. Boring much? Probably, but I figure it will be a nice clean look until he's old enough to have an opinion. Which bees have white paint? Any recommendations? Any better ideas? Thank you :)
