I have very occasionally had them all in the dishwasher but that’s probably just me! I should say I just wipe out the outer shell some days and hand clean it others, trays in dishwasher. </p> <p>Neither of mine take sandwiches to school much but I use amazon Tupperware in that case. I don't have to worry about my daughter not liking what I pack because I pack such a variety she's guaranteed to like some of it. I don't even put it in a lunch bag, but it goes in a fridge so we don't need an ice pack.<br /> @HappyBaker: We only have one tray but I could see the benefit of having a second. We hand wash it right after school and then pack it again the same night. No need to get multiple outer containers.
