His homedics sound machine at home also plays the ocean so that's his jam.<br /> The bonus of being in iTunes/music is that I can play it through my car speakers as well and that's how he naps in the car.<br /> The album is all instrumental lullabies and kids songs (soft music) and has maybe 5-10 ambiance/sounds. I like it. I actually thought the marpac was a silly extravagance since the homedics one is a third of the price a fine... Then we had s gift card and needed one for our room for the baby and it is way better. I do love the actual noise it generates, though (for us and our LO- we have 2!)<br /> My problem with the free app that I have (think it's Called white noise ambience) is that I haven't been able to find a similar sound.<br /> What app do you have, and what is the specific noise that you use? </p>
