I notice that if I put the sound machine close to the monitor, it'll stay on the whole time. So I moved the sound machine as far away from the monitor as possible and it didn't turn on!

@livsmama our LOs favorite is the extreme rain too. I swear it was like her kryptonite in the beginning. It would stop her crying immediately!

We only have an audio monitor and we hear the white noise thru it

Ours is always on (both the white noise and the monitor). We just turn the picture off and use just the sound. We turn off the monitor when he comes in and sleeps with us.

Not sure. I use the White Noise App on my old iphone in Livs room ("extreme rain pouring" is her fave lol) and I can hear it through the monitor. But mine doesnt activate with noise, its always on. It doesnt bother me, I find it kind of relaxing at night.

For those of you that use a white noise machine and a video monitor.

Does the sound on your video monitor stay on the whole time because of the white noise? I like that the sound on my monitor turns off when everything's quiet then when LO moves it turns on so that I know she moved. But if I play the white noise I DL onto my iPhone the sound stays on all the time.

Wondering if maybe with a white noise machine it's different??
