We just turn the picture off and use just the sound. I use the White Noise App on my old iphone in Livs room ("extreme rain pouring" is her fave lol) and I can hear it through the monitor. But mine doesnt activate with noise, its always on. I like that the sound on my monitor turns off when everything's quiet then when LO moves it turns on so that I know she moved. But if I play the white noise I DL onto my iPhone the sound stays on all the time.</p> <p>Wondering if maybe with a white noise machine it's different?? </p>
