Our co worker had a house party and he begged him to invite me over. Dh was drunk and asked me out but I refused because he wasn't my type and he was too young. Todd him I would be his friend he accepted that challenge. Took me over a year to change my mind. We became really good friends then he was my best friend. The only reason I fought so hard not to date him was our age gap (5 years!! We met on jdate--dh sent me an instant message and we ended up chatting online for like 5 hours straight! he asked me out, and we had dinner 2 days later, and it was the best first date: there was a crazy thunderstorm so we sat inside this restaurant for like 3 hours chatting. But then after he walked me home, I went to kiss him and he turned his head, so it ended up being a completely awkward kiss between his lips and cheek, haha. At first he made it seem like he wanted career advice and asked me and our mutual friend to drinks to talk about a job opportunity at my company. The drinks went well and I let it slip that I was dating someone else. He called me that weekend to ask me out, but he chickened out and continued to ask about the job (which he really wasn't interested in). Finally that Wednesday he emailed me asking me to drinks, just the two of us. I waited a full 24 hours before responding, but accepted. He said "Can't we just be friends and have fun?" After 6 months of making out? No. So I broke it off, but we continued to talk.
