I have to say...there's nothing I wouldn't do for my DD. If I had to choose between myself or her (something important, not like - who gets attention first) I would choose her in a heartbeat. While I don't think it necessarily has to be a competition I do see how if you are constantly putting your children ahead of your SO it is a recipe for disaster, aka d-i-v-o-r-c-e. So who comes first, SO or LO?
