And I think DHs parents told his extended family. For this baby we told most of my family at Christmas. Some of DHs. He isn't as close with his cousins so he didn't let them know. I think they just found out from their parents who found out from DHs parents. Announced on ig a bit after that. Nothing on fb. For baby #2 (in the future) I probably won't do that, so cousins would probably just find out through the 'grapevine'. I always made a point to tell family before the "news broke online." I thought that growing up together and being close in age and sharing so much together she would have at least text me the new before it came out online. I know not everyone thinks this way, but I'm family. Did you share online before telling your close friends/family?
