I think I got a few grey hairs this weekend when I allowed my just turned 5yo to try the skate/bike ramps at a (new to us) park. He was so excited and he did really well. DH couldn't even watch and took DD to a different part of the park. DS fell once and a teenager gave him some pointers. We visit DH’s dad every summer...it’s a 10.5 hour drive so we usually stop a couple nights on the way there and the way back. We stay in our trailer while we are at his house too, since it’s pretty small. Kids did SO well...but I’m still ready to be home 😂 2.5 more hours to drive!</p> <p>Glad to hear everyone’s LOs are doing well! DD is 7 mo today...about 19 lbs and so so cute (obviously). Hasn’t quite figured out crawling yet but loves to sit up and watch everyone and recently figured out pulling up. She is seriously the chillest kid. Great sleeper (we still cosleep), not super into solids yet but since she’s 19 lbs I’m not worried about it haha. That's so great that she's not just all caught up, but on the bigger side. And standing up and sitting down is amazing. We're doing pretty well. DD is napping really well and starting to army crawl. I had all three LOs from Friday at 4 to Sunday at 1. In that time...</p> <p>1. The 7 mo figured out how to crawl over the baby gate threshold.<br /> 2. The 24 mo figured out how to climb the bar stools to get on the island.<br /> 3. The almost 5 yo figured out how to get inside the baby gate (which is double locked because the toddler can unlatch it) by jumping off the island into the living room.</p> <p>I am so proud of all their ingenuity but wow was that a lot of kids finding new limits while solo parenting 😂 </p>
