Well we have a girl and I sometimes wonder if I ought to have given her the bigger room since girls tend to amass more stuff but my son was first and already a child when my baby was still in my womb so I wanted him to have the space instead of sitting on an empty room for almost a year and then some since baby slept in our room for almost 8 months. I did protest as I got older, and they basically decided we would just split the difference and we switched rooms when I was about 10 or 11, so I had the bigger room for my teenage years (which was when I really cared.) We moved our boys from the smaller bedroom that was closer to our bedroom to the larger bedroom when they were 12 months. I don't even think they noticed, haha! It's the closest to our room and the perfect size for a nursery. We decided to keep him in his room and have DS2 move into the bigger room. He was already going through so many changes, and I didn't want to kick him out. DH brought up a good point though...the bigger room has a bigger closet. If we have a girl, it would be nice for her to have the bigger closet. We'll see when the time comes! </p>
