I work at the bank were our accounts are so it just makes sense. But hubs has taken over fighting with the stupid hospital about all my recent medical bills. They were WAY over charging us and it was seriously stressing me out. DH pays his bills, I pay all the household and my bills and I keep track of our budget and how much we're spending and it's my responsibility to let him know if we're having a tight month or need to slow down, etc. It just kind of fell on me, we didn't plan on it this way. I'd prefer it if he kept better track as well. I pay my credit card, my mortgage for my house in Texas, all the bills for the house in texas, my medical bills, and my student loan payments. DH pays our rent here, our electricity and cable here, and us eating out/going out. Whoever goes to the grocery store pays that time. If a bill comes in, whoever sees it first pays it. We make all financial decisions together, and I keep him informed of how much we have, but he doesn't ever check the bank accounts or anything. We usually discuss the health of our finances every month or so.
