Is a copy ok or do they need the original? I don't love the idea of bringing his original birth certificate with us. But I think they really only ask for it if they are trying to make sure your lo is ok to be a lap baby (so like on the border of two?) I flew in August and wasn't asked, but dd had her own seat. We take them when flying domestically in the U.S. too. Both the flight there and back, they checked her passport. The passport pic is like when she's 8 months old and she's now turning 3.
