We had no other option since we are very far away from any gas lines. The house had only a wood stove prior to moving in. We noticed an increase in power bill but not outrageous. We really like it as it gives both heat and cool. I feel like anything would be cheaper. I don't know the bill amounts, obviously, but my mom and I have discussed it since and she really misses having it. She said the bills were MUCH better. And they never had to have any repairs done that I was aware of (and I'm pretty sure I would have been). It is insanely expensive, and have been considering changing to geothermal. DH talked to someone who has had major problems with geothermal- multiple things needing to be replaced that has been very expensive. </p> <p>Do you have geothermal? If so...<br /> 1. How do you like it?<br /> 2. What are the problems?<br /> 3. How much do you pay in summer/winter? (Also please give an idea of house size and climate.)<br /> 4. Would you do it again? </p>
