So I think my oldest friend that I still see regularly is my freshman year of college roommate. We were randomly placed together and continued to live together all through college. I've kept in touch with the girls who were my best friends in elementary, but not to the point that I'd consider them good friends. Besides DH, one of my current best friends I've known since we were 12. We were both in our college friend's wedding last weekend. When "met" when I moved in when I was 3 months old. She was nine though. She and her two older sisters all baby sat for me and my brother through out the years. I'm basically the fourth sister in their family. I adore her. Actually, in our preschool class picture, DH was sitting directly behind me! His mom always joked when we were dating in high school that when we got married, that picture would be on display- and it was! As a preschool teacher now, I often wonder about the kids who are friends now and if they'll create long lasting friendships like I did. She got married 1 1/2 years ago and moved 3 hours away, but we still talk on the phone or email 2-3 times a week. My other 2 closest friends, I met one in preschool and the other in 7Th grade. We are lucky to have that history together, we love reminiscing! The person I keep most in contact with is this girl my family introduced me to my 2nd year in college. Both of our parents knew each other way back in the day, but we never met. One day, we started working together, and we've been friends ever since. That was 6 years ago. Our parents were friends before we were both born. She's all the way across the country now but we stay as close as we can. She's getting married in May and I'm a big fat pregnant bridesmaid :) There are two other girls who were similar to us (parents were friends when they were babies) and we all grew up in the same church, so we joined forces around 1st grade. One of those girls married Wagon Sr.'s best friend and they live down the street. All three of us are BMs in the wedding (she's the last to get married and we were all each other's BMs through the years)! Our parents were friends so we met in the hospital, but we ended up just drifting apart in high school. We still talk on facebook, but I wouldn't consider her a friend anymore. I am still friends with two girls that I met in preschool though! It's so much fun to look back at the tapes and pictures of us when we were teeny tiny.
