I've always had a soft spot for babies and kids as long as I can remember, so in general I'd say I'm better with kids. In general dh is naturally sillier than me and my dd loves it up! He isn't afraid to act super silly with her at home or even in the grocery store, pretty much anywhere! I'd just given some picture books to his niece, and we'd read one story together...then I got pulled into doing something else with my SIL, so DH started playing with his niece. She started drawing with crayons in her new book....and he just laughed and played along with her.</p> <p>When I got back and saw, I was like....um..did you ever consider giving her some paper? Or taking this teachable moment to show that books are not for coloring/drawing? Like...literally, the thought never crossed his mind to tell her "no".
