It's probably the thing we argue about the most - he thinks I need to be more protective of her and I am more hands off. The other day DS got a huge goose egg while MIL was in charge of him while I was upstairs nursing DD. now she doesn't let him move without her hand on him. I was trying to take pictures of him out at their farm last weekend and in all of them she is grabbing onto him like his life depends on it. And this was outside where he wasn't going to fall into any furniture. I am way more laidback when it comes to climbing and running around outside. But I am a nervous nelly when it comes to the pool. We take D to the Y for swim lessons, and our Y has a big indoor "waterpark" for kids. The waterpark has a zero-degree entry and then slowly goes up to 2.5'. As he gets into deeper and deeper water, I get really worried about him falling over and taking a face/lung full of water and I find that I kind of hover, whereas Hubs backs off. I tend to worry a little bit more about her with the pets, because I have seen them side-eye here and DH hasn't. But DH tends to treat her a bit more delicately than I do and I have to keep reminding him that babies are not as breakable as they seem, and she's a pretty tough kid :) (example: He thinks I push her too high in the infant swing and she will fall out.
