Us too, we are 14 weeks at the moment and will stay team green, our reason purely being that it makes no difference to us what s/he is. Even if it did, it's not like we could do anything about it! Lol. I love neutral yellow, cream colours anyway.

I was TG with my first, and will be with any future babies too. It was the most amazing, surprising, and tender moment of my life when my husband said "It's a boy!!!" He wanted to find out, I basically said no... and ever since that first birth experience, he is gung-ho about being surprised. It was kind of fun to annoy our friends and families who wanted to know, too ;)

Also, all my newborn gear and clothes will work for any future babies, so that's awesome!

I'm not pregnant, but I was TG with E! I talked D into it to start, but then changed my mind when it came closer to the anatomy scan, but by then D was hardcore into the idea. He thinks it's the difference between opening a Christmas present early versus waiting for Christmas morning. You're still getting a present, and it's still awesome either way, but waiting for Christmas morning and all of the excitement and magic that comes with it really adds a delicious anticipation.

Plus it was an excellent motivation during labor, lol!

We are! DH really wanted to be surprised and I decided that I could handle the suspense... though after almost 28 weeks I am getting really curious.

@night cheese: I am totally with you on avoiding gender stereotypes. Even when I do find out if baby is male or female, I don't plan to run out and buy a bunch of pink or blue stuff. It has been really nice to get the gear we need as first time parents and clothes in gender neutral colors. I feel bad about calling the baby it, too!

I hate the term "team green" but we're not finding out the sex of our baby, so I guess we qualify.

There are a few reasons. First, we want to be surprised. But more importantly, we want to avoid pre-conceived gender expectations as much as possible.

Also, I'm not a fan of highly-gendered baby gear, so not learning the sex is a great way to avoid getting pink ruffly things, or blue things with baseballs or trucks all over them.

The only annoying thing is having to use the pronoun "it" instead of "he" or "she" when talking about the baby. I wish there was a gender-neutral pronoun that wasn't so impersonal sounding. But oh, well.

We are!

Despite being a total planner, I have always wanted this surprise. When DH and I talked about it both before and once we were pregnant we were both on board. DH said he was pleasantly surprised when I brought up that I wanted to be TG.

Its been completely fine and fun through the pregnancy, although MIL and SIL are freaking out bc they want to buy clothes, haha. I think it was only difficult right at 20 weeks when we "could" find out and others I know pregnant at the same time found out, and right now...

Like @luckypenny: at 39 weeks I'm DYING to know! I keep looking at my belly saying "who are you?" "Are you a boy or a girl?" "What's your name going to be?" but I am SO looking forward to DH to have the special moment to announce the sex in the delivery room

We are. We were for our first and it was such an amazing thing to be told it was a girl....especially since we were absolutely convinced she was a he :silly: I also agree with @justdarling: that I think it is one of the great surprises in life.

It doesn't hurt that it drives a lot of people crazy lol. Thankfully I know others who are pregnant and they find out so I can get the excitement of finding out from them.

I am so excited to find out what it is though! We will hopefully be TG for all our babies.

We're TG for the 2nd time around. Like @justdarling: said, it's one of the rare surprises in life. It was a LOT harder the first time around with C, but it's been pretty easy this time. I am getting antsy and want to find out... only 7 weeks to go!

We loved being team green even though we didnt get the joy of the surprise in the delivery room like we had wanted. Because of that we will probably find out the sex next time. But it really is fun if you have an uneventful birth experience!

I'm not currently pregnant (and probably won't be again for a couple of years) but we'll be going TG next time. The only reason I'd be able to do it is because we already have one girl and one boy. Sooo I feel prepared for either. I honestly think that hearing baby's gender announced in the delivery room would be the greatest surprise ever. I imagine it to be amazing.

We are!

I'm not sure what was the one big reason that we decided to go TG. Both of our parents were for our younger siblings, even though they didn't have to be, so in a way, it's what we knew. I honestly had no desire to know, but when we were in the room for the scan, I did start to question it a bit.

For me, part of the reason I think was that I was afraid that I would have gender disappointment. Now, I really don't care what we have, but I do want to know! Also, my family is SO. NEBBY. and if we weren't TG, they'd all want to know the name, then they'd all give input on the name, and then they'd be all opinionated, etc, etc, etc. Better to not even give them the in ;)

My one regret is that I wonder if it has caused me not to be as bonded with baby as I could have been. I spent a good long time being afraid to get too close to this little one, for fear that my heart would get broken if we lost him or her again. As a result, though, it took me a really long time to accept that this was really a baby, not just a temporary pregnancy that would end poorly. I wonder if knowing the sex of the baby and naming him or her would have helped me out in that regard.

In general, though, I have loved being TG and would totally do it again!

Me! It was DH's idea. He really didn't want to know with LO #1 but I insisted and promised we could be TG for LO #2 so here we are :) And at 38 weeks the suspense is killing me! I think it's been pretty fun though.
