We both know we can't always get our way, and there is a lot of compromising going on. This is a stark change from the long-term relationships we each came out of before we met--he was the alpha in his, and I was in mine. We're pretty old fashioned and traditional (biblically speaking) so those are the roles we're comfortable with. That's not to say there aren't some areas I'm "in charge" of like grocery shopping.
