We are both of their emergency contacts for their kids too. Both Bee and I work from home, so it's not a big deal for us to agree to be the point of contact if something were to happen and the school couldn't reach a kid's parents.</p> <p>We don't have anyone in our son's class that we could ask to be an emergency contact - even though that would probably be most convenient. So ours is a local friend whose kids are about the same age as ours. Our families spend a lot of time together, and we're all friendly with each others' kids, so it wouldn't be a big deal if one of us picked up the others' kids one day!</p> <p>Who is your emergency contact? </p>
