My SIL will watch LO after work on a weekday for us about once a month. Depending on FIL's schedule, he is able to babysit for an entire day. If it's my mom's turn I ask her first and if she can't then I ask MIL but I always give that person the opportunity. We also use our neighbor (we call her GiGi) which is handy in a last minute type situation since she's 2 houses down. Yesterday I knew our moms were both available but GiGi hadn't gotten to see our daughter in awhile so we asked her instead. </p> <p>We also use our pastor's daughters because I feel like it's important to give young girls the opportunity to earn some money. She loves our girls and often has then for Sunday School, so she's awesome. We also have our neighbour watch them when she's not at university, she's one of my best friends, and again adores the girls. I pay her in presents. I think it's fun for kids to get to spend time with an older teenager, too. If she's busy, then we have a local college grad student we use that we found on Care.com last fall.
