MIL did not react too well, and that made me decide I definitely didn't want to share it more widely - it's not nice having people be negative about your name choice, and they seem to kinda feel that they can do that before LO arrives! Then I gave permission to DH to tell his parents because he never understood why I wanted to keep it a secret and he only wanted to tell them. No one else knew, not even WB/HB. </p> <p>Oh I did tell people that the name would be pronounceable in two languages and my friends started guessing. Part of it was that we tried out names by asking our son to say them and he really took to one name and would freely call her by that. I told a native speaking friend the name to get her opinion. </p> <p>I also told my doula at our last appointment. It seemed to make sense for her to "know" LO before labor. We didn't tell any family members. </p>
