Usually, I'd take off the morning and DH would take off the afternoon. His job is more flexible and he has 5 weeks vacation/sick leave combined. I won't have that luxury. I can work from home, but if I'm home with a sick kid, very little gets done. So as long as LO is in that in between phase where he/she is too sick to go to day care, but not super super sick then hubs will stay home and just try to squeeze in as much work as possible.
