It makes me sad because I know my mom would throw me the best shower, and I know that she won't! In my family the sisters/sister in laws throw the baby shower, but the mom always helps out with the funding of it. She's also having a second shower this month hosted by the baby's father's mother for his side of thefamily. </p> <p>Even though it's not the Emily Post way, I wouldn't think twice about a mom hosting a baby shower for her daughter. So far, I only have one friend who is planning to give me a baby shower. Is it appropriate for my mother to give me a baby shower? I know she is willing, but does that look bad? Or, could/should she ask one of her 3 sisters to host one? If not, does that mean I need to invite all of my out of town family and friends to the one baby shower? </p>
