I used to wake up to every single noise when M was a newborn so none of us were getting any sleep. But now that they're older and have been STTN for almost a year, I'm letting DH have it. I still hear when someone is truly crying, (and DH hears it better, too). But this way, I don't wake up to EVERY.SINGLE.NOISE the way I did when I had it on my nightstand.
