We mostly split it but he does more than me. I try to do more on the weekends b/c he really does most of the work on the weekdays.

Right now (prelo) we share Redeings and letting them outside duties. I clip their nails and bathe them while dh helps me... This will def have to change once LO comes. But dh is terrified of clipping their nails because he cut his childhood dogs quick and so we will prolly take them to the groomers for that portion!

I do because hubby is out of town most of the week for work, plus she was mine before we got married.

My husband when he's home; but it's usually me during the day time but it's not a lot of work b/c we have a small dog who goes on a wee wee pad in our laundry room. She just sits by the laundry room door when she has to go so it's pretty easy. And my 3-year-old exercises her by having her chase him around the house. It's a little noisy but at least I don't have to walk her. LOL! :D

We have a cat. We usually both do the vet appointments together but have gone separately as well. I do most of the feeding and he cleans the litter box. Cats are pretty easy! The biggest thing is the cat hair, and since I'm not working right now (grad student) that falls on me primarily (him on occasion but since he's not as picky as me it will probably always be my "thing.")

We have a pretty even mix. My husband's gone a lot so I end up with 100% doggie duty when that happens. When he's home he's really good about doing it, especially since we store his food down low and bending over is getting more and more difficult. We used to alternate bath time because giving him a bath can be quite a chore but now we both tackle it: I brush him before hand to get rid of any lose hair and get him in the tub because for some reason it takes my husband 30 minutes to coax him in when I can get him there on the first try. Then, my husband washes and dries him because I hate the mess and it's too hard for me to bend over the tub now. Then, I finish up with the special after bath treat.

I take care of the vet appointments and monthly flea medicine.

DH does, and did before LO came. He had our pup before I came into the picture, so he's used to doing it all. I always would offer, and he'd say no he wanted to do it, so I let him. Of course if he's home late or not feeling well, I'll do it.

I do most of the animal care, though DH gets the cat box now :P. We'll see how that changes when the baby gets here.

Since my LO was born, DH has taken care of almost everything dog related. Who handles the majority of pet care in your home?
