He nearly missed the birth! (Wasn't in active labour till the following day so stayed at a friends cause we lived an hour from the hospital). Then he drove me to the hospital around 4cm dialted.<br /> With DD2, DH drove me to the city (45min) to meet the midwife. Found out I was for sure in active labour and he drove me to the hospital. Going through transition sucked in the car! If the ride would have been longer I wouldn't of made it (we actually live 1 hr 45min from the hospital but happened to be closer that day). During the drive contractions went to every minute lasting 10sec. I felt silly for going in but it was good that I did!
