So I had to make a new best friend every time I moved. Not an easy thing to do as a kid, but I made it work! The teacher wanted someone to volunteer to be my 'buddy' and show me around the school, and she did. After school I went to get on my bus and she was there too, turns out we lived on the same route. The rest is history. We had a neighborhood party at a park, and our parents introduced us...her family was about to move in. We started playing together, we'd walk to school together, etc. She was a year ahead of me in school, so we didn't hang out much while we were in school, but outside of school we were inseparable. She is still one of my best friends. My other best friend transfered to our town in jr high and was in my homeroom. She later told me she talked to me because I looked like the friendliest one in the room. I was five and we had just moved into the area.
