It was for my uterine size being greater than dates, so we had a little talk ahead of time saying be prepared for something to be weird/wrong/bad. My mom went with my sister for her anatomy scan in her first pregnancy although they didn't find out the gender. (Intentionally.) She wanted to come with us to the anatomy scan in my first pregnancy, but DH wanted it to be private which was fine w me, I didn't particularly want anyone there either. No one else has come, but we are in a high risk situation so the scans aren't exactly a fun event. But I had scans every other week from 13-26 weeks to monitor for cervical changes, and I was alone for the majority of those. So it was me, my SO, my mom, his mom. With DS2 my ultrasounds were done at a different place and were strict with guest so only my SO was there each time. My parents would have if they lived close by. We invited MIL but she had to work. When I had to do a NST they brought me in for another ultrasound and my parents were in town so the doctor came in and accommodated them brought us back into that big room and did the 3d thing just for them. I was like score!!
