Okay, having just bought the app, Emma is apparently in Wonder Week 13 with 12 days until her next leap, the fourth leap 'World of Events'; Henry is in WW 69 1/2 with 8 days until his next leap, the tenth leap 'World of Systems'. Both kids have little suns hanging out behind the cloud. Interesting stuff!

UGH. I HATE the sleep disruptions and fussiness during WW's, but when LO comes out of them its like she learned 20 new things and it is awesome to see! But ya, WW's hit us really hard in our household and LO follows them to the T. It IS more like Wonder Month! For the first year or so you only have several weeks of sunshine! haha crazy! I always wonder if there are babies that are not affected at ALL by wonder weeks. And anytime I tell people or older folks that my LO is in a wonder week, I am always met by blank stares bc they have no clue what they are.

Ugh, we're in the 4th leap. I don't have the app (and can't buy it because I'm doing the no=spend week, ARGH!) but he's 17 weeks now so I believe we still have another couple of weeks of this nonsense. I think it's "world of events."

He's more moody than usual (swings quickly and frequently from laughing and smiling to crying and screaming) and his sleep is garbage. He wakes up 3-4 times a night, and most recently he wakes up at 3:30 to eat and then it takes an hour and a half to get him down. His nursing style has also fallen to crap. He gets really worked up and latches on and pops off a bajillion times then descends into a fit of rage.

So, basically, fun times for all.

On the other hand, he's grabbing EVERYTHING and definitely working out events -- see, grab, mouth -- and started babbling a tremendous amount this weekend. It is nice to see something come out of all this!

Brennan is in the eight leap, "world of programs." But it says that the dates have to be adjusted because Brennan was premature. I haven't noticed any change in his behavior recently. Maybe I have some fun to look forward to at the end of the month. Don't get me wrong, I dread diaper changes (toddler death rolls) and his new fascination with opening and shutting doors.

@lemondrop: with my two girls, the early leaps seed to conform pretty well to the schedule. The later ones seemed to vary more. There were a few where I was pretty sure it happened a couple weeks earlier (at least the milestones they talk about did), and a couple where we were weeks behind. The girls did seem to go through all the stages (in order), though.

Oh also there were a few that just didnt seem to cause a lot of turmoil, either.

Yep, WW 42.5 here, leap #7. He's been waking up between 4:30-4:50am every morning for the past few days and has been super clingy and whiny during the day. He just started to walk (9.5 mos), so that isn't helping things either! He does seem to be right on track every time I check the WW app though, and that makes me feel better :)

@Mrs. Jacks: Just curious, how strongly do you believe in the Wonder Weeks falling at those exact times? I'm wondering since every baby seems to be on a slightly different pace with new developments.

Not to knock this process, I do believe leaps in cognition exist as I have seen them happen with C, but I'm skeptical that in "x" number of days ____ will happen. It seems kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy that they will be grouchy on this particular day, and you dread it and spend time on edge until it passes.

We're in the 9th leap and my DD hasn't slept well in 2 weeks. On top of it, the kid already almost has all her teeth, right now her incisors are all coming in at once, and so she's pretty cranky about that.

We're approaching the 9th leap now! Been in the gray for about a week & a half... thankfully P's "routine" is to have trouble falling asleep & being a tad clingy during the first gray week & then be back to normal until our stormy week so she's been okay the last couple days... When she hits the stormy week she doesn't nap/sleep/or be awake well. =/

I didn't buy the WW at first either b/c they didn't seem to match but as soon as I calculated from her edd & not her birthdate they matched perfectly... she's generally she's very easy, independent, and doesn't give any trouble sleeping (even though we do still night nurse & co-sleep/bed) but sheesh during those WW she's a totally different kid!

I'm not sure I buy wonder weeks. It seems like 50-50 whether her fussy periods line up with them, and they're half of her life supposedly anyway! We're in the same one, but LO has been the most fun yet lately, and she STTN for the first time this week. I hope H gets back to sleeping and smiling soon!

@princessbaby - right there with you! The last 2 nights have been better but boy has sleep been rough in general! All 30-minute naps today...hate those! I feel like even though these times are rough it's so neat to see them change so much. I swear just in the last few days she's become a whole new baby - rolling more, talking, yelling (super loudly)...it's fun :) I just hope we get some better sleep soon!

@PrincessBaby: I used to nurse to sleep a lot (but not all the time) and still do it now and then. Half the time though it doesn't even work (i.e., she doesn't fall asleep). She's getting better at self-soothing, but the week before last was rough. I failed at CIO at night, but was able to get her to CIO for naps (she'd only cry for 5 min then). At night I started trying everying... putting her down in different positions, rocking her, staying in the room, doing CIO with checks, CIO no checks (I couldn't do it). This week she's been able to get herself to sleep either without fussing or with only a few minutes of crying. This is the first time really that she's ever STTN. For the longest time she was waking up 2x a night... then she finally got down to 1x, and now 0. Crossing my fingers. I'm sorry you are dealing with those wake ups... those were the same exact times J would wake up. Sucked!!!

Girlfriend, I'm right there in the lightening bolt with you! BUT, I have *27* days left in this leap! haha

Sadie was a little fussy/cranky today. She wasn't too bad, but she pretty much never fusses, so I know the WW is to blame. She's still sleeping fine, though she's taken to waking up around 5. She goes right back to sleep after I give her the paci, but I'm terrified of the 27 days left! This is the dreaded fourth leap/4-month sleep regression, so I'm just waiting for all hell to break loose.
