I was afraid of the whole nap thing too. DD sleeps great in the infant car seat and today she slept even better in the convertible! 1.5 hours. She usually does 45 minutes. Honestly, I don't think it has made a difference to him. He seemed fine in his infant seat, and he is fine in this one. He's a big baby, and very long, and was a little bit folded into the infant seat by like 5 or 6 months. The convertible gives him lots of room to spread his legs out. He can still nap in the car...well, as well as he sleeps anywhere that's not his crib. With one exception he stopped taking the long car naps before we moved him to the bigger seat. </p> <p>Also, for me, the big benefit of the infant seat was that I could take it out and carry him in, but by the time we decided to switch (at 6 months) he was really too heavy for me to do that easily (and there's no way I could have done it without waking him up). And he didn't like the bucket seat by the end. He'd scream bloody murder and thrash whenever we tried to put him in.
