My LO fights me so hard for naps. It took an hour to get her down today. Our routine is diaper change, white noise on, lights off, sing a song, then lay in the crib and I rub her back until she's asleep. But I always figured whatever works, do it. If LO falls asleep eating, fine. If she only sleeps on me, fine, I'll leave her there. I was so tired when she was little I didn't care, I just wanted her to sleep. </p> <p>Of course she wasn't the best napper when she was little, but at 8 months she magically started sleeping in her crib and has been a great napper ever since so giving into her wants as a newborn didn't break her. Now at 19 months at nap time I say, "it's nappy time!" and she gets a big smile and says, "night night!" and I put her in her crib, she rolls over, and that's that for two hours. The nanny and DH can just rock him for a bit and he falls right to sleep. We even had DHs sis babysat. I came home to DS asleep in his crib. I do the same thing they do. Turn on the white noise machine and rock him. Except it will take me forever to get him settled. I get so frustrated sometimes and give up and will take him to my bed to nurse him. Is it because I nurse him? </p> <p>I just now spent 45 minutes trying to get him to sleep and he's finally out. Now I'm scared to move him. :/</p> <p>Anyone have any tips? How can I get him to nap easier? </p>
