I raised two babies without one! I used a microwave sterilizer and just let things dry on there after opening it up. Or on the regular dish rack.

Our dishwasher wasn't good for cleaning nipples. So for that alone, the drying rack was great.

Do you have a regular dish rack? I always have to take plastic out of the dishwasher because it's never fully dry, so rather than a bottle rack, a dish rack could be another option.

What I have found is that plastic and silicon don't dry as well in the dishwasher as glass and metal. Usually though I just put out a clean dish towel and lay things out on that until we are done our morning routine and then put them away, drying any extra drips on the towel.

You will definitely survive if you don't have one to start with and they are easy to find or order from amazon so you can always wait and see.

I feel like our dishwasher didn't do a great job getting off the milk residue, so I preferred to hand wash. But we didn't buy a special bottle drying rack - just used a regular drying rack we already had.

We have the Boon grass (wish we had the lawn), but it's great for sippy cups, pacifiers, kids dinnerware that's still went from the dishwasher etc. We bought the little branch thing that goes on it and those are great too, we hang bibs over it.

We have this drying rack and have used it every day for the last two years. First for pump parts (probably the most important because there are so many) and bottles and now for straw cups and other little toddler things. I like to hand wash these things so I have them when I need them and also just to make sure the little valves and things are super clean. Can't recommend this drying rack enough.

Another vote for the Boon Lawn. We didn't use many bottles, but anything plastic always comes out a little wet from our dishwasher. So I like it for drying bottles as well as plastic cups and tupperware.

Yet another Boon Lawn fan. Now post bottles we use it for sippy cups, but more importantly, for knives. LO loves to play with the dishwasher, but the Lawn is fully out of his reach.

Another Boon Lawn fan here! We barely used bottles or pump, but I love it for all her cups and Thermos and other small pieces the older she got. Especially the Flower and Twig are awesome. I actually wish we had 2 Lawns like some people. Things dry faster and easier to just grab and go.

I didn't think that they were necessary and didn't buy one... And then I realized that they're crucial and ran out to target and buy one! I regret not buying a bigger one! They're so nice to have for when you don't have time to run the dishwasher or it's not full enough to run and for pump parts.

I hand washed and dried on our rack, if I left it to dry at all before pouring formula in and putting in the fridge. When I switched to powder formula I definitely dried everytime, but since I washed them separately from the rest of our dishes (ie after), the rack was always available.

I have the 2-tier spinning drying rack and I use(d) it for bottles nipples and covers that weren't completely dry from the dishwasher, pump parts, baby spoons, sippy cups plus lids, washable bibs, snack containers, etc. LO likes to help unload the dishwasher so leaving it open to dry isn't an option.

We have just a cheap two tier spinning rack and love it. With the amount of bottles and bottle parts we use day to day, it is just easier to hand wash. Also I have found the nipples don't get super clean with the dishwasher.

I don't wash bottles in dishwasher because 1) I don't run my dishwasher enough/don't have enough bottles to do that regularly (and I don't want to run it more and waste all that water and 2) My first week home I washed bottles in the dishwasher and I had had lasagna that day and the tomato sauce leftover on dishes stained the bottles orange.

So we just hand wash. It's really not a big deal. We have the boon lawn thing with a little tree for the nipples. I like it.
