Secondarily because of cost savings. Thirdly because I knew we wouldn't actually take nursery trash out every day and the idea of storing a bunch of poop filled diapers in her room for days grossed me out. Then I switched to primarily cloth for myself (for AF), and I find it *so* much more pleasant, so that was another tally in cloth's favor. I did a mix of cloth and flushable diapers (gdiapers) and I loved them!!! No blowouts were a huge plus for me - all my friends had multiple blowouts in their disposable. And I loved not carrying out bags of diaper trash. I think we've had maybe 2 blow outs in cloth and they weren't even that bad. We primarily chose to do it for financial reasons. We were spending $45 a month on diapers and I was just over it! We got a complete stash of CD's and everything we need to go with it for under $200, so if she is potty trained at the same time her big sister was then we will save about $600-$700. Not a ton but every penny counts!</p> <p>Why did you choose to go the cloth diaper route? </p>
