My LO does this all the time :( I feel guilty because "food before one is just for fun" - well, it is often not fun for her! I've found taking her out of her highchair & sitting outside often helps her finish her meal.

DS does this too sometimes, my guess is that he's either full or done with sitting in the high chair.

@Mrs. Lion: She has been like that a while back because of teeth, but usually then she refuses the food altogether. This seems weird because she's accepting the food and then crying whilst doing so!

Honestly, if there's not a sleep issue, there's an eating one! LO's most recent eating...thing is to start crying at the end of the meal. She's continuing to eat when I spoon feed her or continuing to shovel finger foods in her mouth only she cries whilst doing so! :(

DH thinks it could be her signalling that she's done and it kind of makes sense when I consider the amount she's eaten when she gets to that point. Oh, and she has also started imitating wiping her mouth and the tray around the same time...does this all mean she is finished?
