@sorrycharlie: I thought that at first but then figured my clothes would be blocking most of the light anyway!

@mrs. wagon: I'm excited but scared for that to be honest, if the amount she kicks and moves about now is an indicator of what she'll be like a few months it's going to be quite painful!

@artbee: It's so weird they're even aware it's there! It's strange because the last couple of ultrasounds we've had she was asleep to start with and then as soon as the wand gets pushing she's moving about all over the place showing us what she can do!

yes - my little one was like that too, but now she could care less and does what she wants - even if it means waking me up at 4 in the morning with her nonstop rolling & kicking in the belly (i'm 32 weeks).

My LO did that too. I always heard people say that their baby would gravitate toward their hand, but my LO moved away from it. Made it harder for DH to feel at first. But the bigger she got, the less control she seemed to have of me feeling her.

Hehe yes, maybe she is reacting to you! Just minding her business, kicking away happily, then all of a sudden she feels a hug from beyond. Hmm, what is this? Is that my mama hugging me? ;)

Just wait, pretty soon she'll be kicking you so hard you will be pressing on your belly for a different reason-- to try and get her to stop!!! ;)

mine was like that in the beginning too! eventually she didn't care. I used to imagine that she was wondering what may have blocked out some of her light, haha! who knows if there even is any light in there :)

I'm 19wks and most days I feel baby girl moving around so I am wondering if I can start to feel her little pokes from the outside. This evening she has been kicking up a storm in there, but every time I put my hand on my belly she stops doing whatever she is doing and stays so still until a minute or so after I've removed my hand!

Did anyone else experience this? How does she know my hand is there... it's not like I'm pressing firm or anything!
