She slept for the majority of the car time both ways, so we knew it was the right decision. I love our Peg Perego. Also, it just seemed sturdier to me (though I know that this is not necessarily true, but still... impressions are important, I guess). Also, I never (seriously, not once) used the infant seat with the stroller anyway. I always have to take it out of the car and get him strapped into it. I don't know why, but it's really difficult for me.</p> <p>He also sweats buckets in the infant seat. I didn't want to buy a seat I would only use for 6-8 months like many moms I knew. We used the bucket seat until 16 months and just left it in the car. I also keep the handle bar down.</p> <p>I'll keep DS in the infant seat as long as he lets me. Recently, when I put him in, he'll sit straight up making it difficult for me to strap him in. He'll also get a bit upset, but I'll tell him we're "going out" in Chinese and he'll calm down enough to make sure I start the engine. If I do, he's fine. She prefers the convertible because it isn't as reclined.
