@PrincessBaby: In the NICU, they make "nests" from a bunch of blankets rolled together and then put into a U shape. I bet that would work for a couple days!

@Weagle: I took a chance and did this...Epic fail. She woke up, cried for a while (I gave it 5 mins while I hid at the end of the crib) then she stopped...And started making her puppy/bird/cooing/squeal noises which means she's totally refreshed and ready to talk and play. I tried nursing her again but she kept popping off to "talk" to me. So I gave up and let her play on her mat downstairs for 15 mins while I ate food, and now I am back in the nursery trying again. Still getting the occasional smiley squeak/squeal chatter:(. This girl!!!

I would try putting her down on her tummy as well. We would finish nursing/bottle, transfer her to our shoulder, and then put her down on her tummy. Sometimes she used to fuss a little, but always settled quickly.

@PrincessBaby: he usually sleeps on his side, although all his naps today and now at bedtime, he's been on his stomach! So we'll see how tonight goes...and yup, we did Ferber last weekend. it was great! SO not as scary or bad as I thought it woul dbe...Worked really well, I think he was also "ready" for sleep training. However, this whole rolling thing has thrown a wrench in it, because it seems like Ferber doesn't really work to have him put himself back to sleep when he's on his tummy--he just is really unhappy. I'm hoping he gets used to it!

@travelgirl1: Omg, I hope she is more agreeable VERY soon lol
@MaisyMay: This may end up happening tonight!
@TurtleDoves: We don't have a rnp:(. And we took the swing down bc she's so heavy:(
@zippylef: Last night she woke up at 2 and I ended up nursing her back to sleep, then I go back to bed, and as soon as I start to drift off at around 3, she flipped and started screaming. It was the only time I've REALLY entertained CIO. I laid there a few mins and let her cry but then I wussed out.
@sorrycharlie: That's exactly us right now, and my DH is away at work offshore so it's just tired/haggard me!!! Ugh! I hope she snaps out of it really soon! I can see why sleep deprivation is a torture method!
@hilsy85: So does he prefer sleeping on his back? How has he been doing since sleep training? Did you do Ferber?
@Running Elley: Did you just turn the monitor off? I don't know if I can hear her and ignore her!
@Mrs. Pen: I really hope we don't have to sleep train:(. Or actually I'm alone for the next 3 weeks so it will be just ME sleep training and I don't think I have the guts!
@mrsmenow: I really think I'm going to do towels!

We've had more success with sleep once we started putting A to sleep on her tummy or side so maybe give that a try?

I also found that I dealt with the multiple wake ups much better by reminding myself that she's not doing it on purpose and that LO has LOTS of stuff going on in her brain right now!

At 5.5 months around the time of rolling C started waking up a lot too, or half waking up. I don't know if it was rolling or a wonder week or what, because her fussiness doesn't usually even follow the ww patterns imo. But she would go down easily with a paci so it wasn't too bad for me. It did end a couple weeks later though. :) Then we went on a trip so her time got all screwed up and she started waking again! But it was worth it!

Thats tough :( Anytime LO goes through these phases we automatically ignore. If we know shes not hungry or dirty we let her CIO. Theres always the teething thing as well which is tough because then you know they are in pain :( theres only been a few nights where I have picked up LO. Hang in there.

Sometimes if LO is upset on her belly it helps if we start there when she is calm and I rub her back (one night she even fell asleep when I was putting lotion on her back. ) It usually goes better if she falls asleep on her stomach-she usually stays there and rolls less. If she falls asleep on her back she tosses around a lot more. So maybe helping her get comfotable on her stomach would help!

My oldest was never a belly sleeper though and we did the rolled towel trick with her and it helped!

Our regression started at 3 months and went until 6 months!!!! It was one of the hardest stages we went through. I was sooo depressed form being so sleep deprived. I just had to wait it out but by six months I was going nuts so I sleep trained :-/. I don't regret it but know its definitely not for everyone... And only some babies respond to its I sympathize!!!! It WILL get better!

We dealt with this aroudn 5.5 months, and then it got better...and last night, we were up for an HOUR--we would flip him, he would roll back over, repeat. Finally, we tried to just do CIO with checks with him on his tummy...didn't really work!! I think they just go through phases. It's SO frustrating though, because he will nap happily on his tummy, but in the MOTN it pisses him off. I think it's just something you have to either wait out or use CIO for, as @zippylef said.

Only a few (bummer!) so I would just go with Amazon. I totally feel for you... when you think something might help you want it right away! Until it comes is there anywhere else she could sleep? A swing? Or you could try rolling up towels and really wedging her in place.

When my little one started rolling from back to tummy it was a disaster! She had already been rolling tummy to back, but it's like she suddenly forgot how to flip back over. The first night of this she rolled and got stuck on her tummy just about every hour... it was brutal! We had a Merlin's Magic Sleep Suit (didn't help her fall asleep so I set it aside) and that has REALLY helped. She can't roll over in it so our bedtime has gone back to what it was pre-rolling. I know the suits look silly but it may be worth looking into!

we have been dealing with this too, the past week. first her tooth cut (first tooth!) and then she mastered rolling to her belly. but freaks and won't roll back even though she is fully capable! my DH doesn't do nights so it's all me...and she rolls in her sleep, doesn't fix her face, face plants, wakes herself up in a panic...repeat. every 15-30m the other night, the nights in between about every 2-3 hours. it's a joy.

no real advice, just commiseration. she's been doing it about a week now so I'm hoping she gets over it soon! although she just started almost army crawling, so I'm thinking it'll be a rough month all around!

I found as J became more mobile, the more he wanted to try out his new skills instead of sleep. Then he would get stuck, or smack his head or drop his lovey and cry. Once he was beyond the newness of his mobility, he would be over it and sleep. It was rough though. :/
