I know how frustrating this can be. My LO went through that for a bit. It's such a slippery slope if you allow nursing to pacify her, ya know? I tried that and realized I couldn't if I ever wanted to not have a baby attached to me. She eventually just got past it herself. Thank god because I tried everything imaginable, to no avail. It turned out that he had a milk/soy protien intolerance (MSPI) and his tummy was hurting him. Nursing both helped and hurt. </p> <p>Things I would look at are overtired, gas, food intolerances, and Happiest Baby on the Block. The 5 s' really helped us. I agree that she could be totally overstimulated and tired. Have you noticed if she's eating less/more? She is perfect all day at daycare and sleeps well at night. But once we get home from daycare she screams for hours and hours on end. Not fusses... bloody murder / broken bones / blood-curdling screams. She only stops when I put her on the breast. She doesn't even eat while she's on there. She literally just puts her mouth over my nipple - sometimes doesn't even latch. When she's there she smiles and watches me, but I can't live with her attached to my breast! I know parenting is self-less, but I want to be able to put my child in the swing or bouncy chair and be able to use both hands for a change!</p> <p>We've tried gripe water, it doesn't help. Please help me. </p>
