@sorrycharlie: Ugh I HATE when people say to "calm down." When I was having a lot of anxiety pp dh used to say "relax!" and it made me so mad. Luckily he stopped but I have no idea how "calm down" or "relax" is actually supposed to be productive.

Sorry for the threadjack!

Both of them are disasters ... I agree that no one deserves to have a shaming like this (I hate when parents post videos like this of their kids). With all of that said, I bet her parents were happy when she moved out!!!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: "Nothing will drive you nuts faster than being with a man who seems not to love you, not even to like you enough to want to hang out and do things with you." Totally agree with you.

This happened to me once with an ex-b/f. Well I didn't act like this girl in the video but I was acting really weird in that relationship and I knew I was being crazy too. It took me a few months to realize it was him, he was making me insecure and that was causing me to act cra cra. I finally had the strength to dump him and became sane again.

There was a How I Met Your Mother about the crazy girl and they also said... there are truely crazy girls but most crazy girls are because of the guy they are with.

This definitely shows me a couple that was not right for each other. Hopefully they can now take the steps to find a relationship that works well for both of them.

This is sad. Divorcing or not, no husband should publicly humiliate his wife. For me, there is just no justifiable excuse for this. No one deserves to be publicly humiliated, especially on a forum as large as YouTube. I'm surprised that some PPs think that what he did is ok.

@HLK208: I was thinking the exact same thing! Sometimes my panic attacks (particularly when pregnant) were/are SO irrational that no one would think I was sane. Including myself! I know I should calm down but I can't. And people (husband) telling me to "calm down" only makes it a million times worse.

I don't think he should have posted it online, but if my partner had been having meltdowns, tantrums, whatever you want to call it--I would totally record it to show him how he was acting. Obviously this couple has some issues and were headed for divorce.

She didn't say that she has any kind of condition or panic attack problem in her explanation. I think she looks ridiculous and if this is how she has acted in the past, well perhaps this will now open her eyes and she'll get some help on how to deal with her emotions. Because the way she acted was completely unacceptable and ridiculous, I don't care if he did promise to take her to the lake and then changed his mind. She's 30 not 3.

Ahh! I think the video itself was not a bad idea, because the woman clearly couldn't tell how crazy she was acting. Common. You aren't 4 years old, pull yourself together! However, posting the video online was unnecessary, and he looks like a douche for doing so.

Probably a good thing that they are getting a divorce... yikes.

@MsLipGloss: You're right. There is no way of knowing what got her to that point. I can only assume & relate through my own experience of having dealt with someone that often acted (and continues to act) similarly. Even when he repeatedly said she was throwing a fit solely b/c he wouldn't take her to the lake she never said anything different to clarify any other unseen reason, just affirmed that yes she was freaking out b/c she didn't get her way (I've dealt with a bully in arguments & believe me I would constantly reaffirm what was REALLY going on).

And from her statement of the incident after, and having dealt with my own emotional/mental issues for many years... I would have immediately clarified that I had "such & such condition" to "clear" my name, which she did not.

I think she has a drinking problem & throws tantrums often blaming someone else for her inability to control herself & he was sick of it.

@runsyellowlites: There should be an expectation of privacy. Imagine waking up to find that someone had secretly filmed you on your worst day ever, and then posted that video to the internet. I understand that people should exercise self-control as much as possible, but it's unrealistic--not to mention unfair--to expect someone to be in control at all times. Imagine walking in on your spouse with someone else in bed, and immediately being angry and yelling at him (while ugly crying) and screaming that he's a liar and you hate him, and having that be filmed only without showing the him cheating part . . . Dirty. It's just dirty.

And you have NO idea what he did to get her to this point . . . nobody does.

@runsyellowlites: Eh... I still don't really agree. My sister has borderline personality disorder and while to many she seems very normal she has major freak outs at least once a week. Many of these are directed at me and hurt me physically and emotionally. If people saw her acting like that they would definitely think she is out of control crazy. It would be pretty terrible of me to post a video of her acting like that online because I got pissed at her (which I do get).

We don't know anything really about this couple. She could be crazy, or she could have just been having a really bad day. She could have a mental instability. He could have been egging her on. We can't know and I don't think it's right for us to base our opinion on this woman on this short video. It's too bad that people will be doing just that for years and years to come thanks to her ex.

@pui: Lol. Idk.. but she said she can't even take car of her car or get her oil changed b/c of it.

Like I said though, I learned, first hand, that if I didn't want certain things out there then I shouldn't be acting certain ways. I don't see it too much different than videos we see of people getting pulled over for duis looking like fools or the such. And since he told her it would be posted "when everyone sees this" I see it as her fault for not knowing how to control herself. Again, I'm sure I'm biased from my own personal experience (G's dad STILL throws these kind of fits even though I do not push them & am no longer an unhealthy participant)

@pui: Yea, I don't think I'd post it, but I've also been around online enough to have full understanding that once it's out there it's out there... something that many newbies don't quite get & over share personal information all the time before the realize uh oh. Also, I was taught that if I didn't want everyone knowing I did something, then I shouldn't do it... :/

I just wish I would've thought about recorded G's dad! That's genius! Especially when he was in many ways the same way...

I mean she's saying she can't just drive her car b/c the interlock system.... um why can't she just not drink? The car does work as long as you can pass a breathalyzer. O_o lol

@runsyellowlites: If he wanted to use this for something in his divorce proceedings, fine, I guess . . . BUT, to share this with the world . . . no. She has not had an opportunity to *defend* herself, so to speak. The reason to not post a video like this is the same reason that I don't cheat . . . sure I care about my DH, but let's assume for a second that I didn't . . . I wouldn't post it because I want to be able to look myself in the mirror everyday and know in my very core that I am a good person, and that I have respect for myself.

But I know what you mean . . . I had a looong-term ex who was incredibly explosive and cruel . . . but NEVER in public or in front of anyone else. When I ended it, everyone was baffled. So I understand how you feel when you say that maybe if your friends/family would have seen something like this that maybe then they would have understood.

@runsyellowlites: Well some probably disagree, but I don't think posting it online is ever ok, divorce or not. Showing it to her family and friends is still humiliating for her, but fits in to an acceptable level of revenge. I think posting it online where it will literally be forever is crossing a line that shouldn't be crossed.

I wish I would've thought to do something like this when I was dealing with G's dad throwing tantrums about not getting his way! Maybe then others would've seen what I was dealing with & he would've seen how ridiculous he was... if nothing else others would've seen how ridiculous he was.

As for it just being a short video (well almost 4 minutes)..considering she didn't say anything about him having said/done something mean/out of anger & really just vocally focused on her not getting want she wanted (even affirmed that THAT was why she was mad) I could see that really being the real issues (not having something else propagate the tantrum before filming started).. Of course I've also personally dealt with someone that was like this so I may be a bit biased to its legitimacy.

From the article it looks like they're headed for divorce anyways so I don't really see the husband having done anything wrong... sounds more like he was fed up with dealing with her & it was his "I'm not dealing with this anymore" & sealing the deal moment.

I'm in the camp that they are probably two people who bring out the worst in each other. In our younger days, I've had some crazy meltdown fights with DH (thank God we've both grown up since the college years). It's unfair of him to film her calm as a cucumber to make himself look good, when its likely he wasn't just sitting innocently and talking calmly before the video started rolling... Not to excuse her behavior as ok at all, but definitely a one-sided blimp in time from two people who obviously neither have respect for each other.

It's really sad that videos like this probably don't even phase most people. It makes me sad that seeing such private things on the internet is the norm nowadays.

I'm happy that he's getting out of a marriage that he doesn't want to be in, but I don't see the need for airing his dirty laundry/wife's panic attack on the web. I mean, what's the point?

DH and I watched this last week. And yes, while the screaming woman is a bit ridiculous, I said to him, "You know what? I bet he told her that he would take her to the lake, and then went back on it." (Now I read that's exactly what happened.)

Not that that excuses her screaming, but I've been there. Looking back, there were times with my ex where I seemed CA-RAYzeee. He made me that way. Nothing will drive you nuts faster than being with a man who seems not to love you, not even to like you enough to want to hang out and do things with you. Who's unsupportive, etc.

This is really sad. I think that's terrible that he posted it mainly because it seems like mentally something is going on with her.

I've had a panic attacks before and it has looked something like this (oddly enough, I've always been in a car when my anxiety/panic attacks took place) . It use to be something small that would set it off. It was never about the small issue but typically a ton of anxiety built up. Luckily, it never happens anymore but it's entirely frightening when it does so shame on him! If she is that moody though, I'm sure she would be hard to live with too.

She resembles my 13 month old when she can't get something she wants. But it's a snippet, if that. We don't know about them or what happened before this recording. If she's prego, for me, it would almost be excusable. Lol.

The guy, however, is a douche.
