My son is such a social butterfly and loves daycare so much that I don't think he would like being at home without any other kids to play with. I feel like I never get anything done at home with one. It's like, get home at 5, and don't stop moving until 9pm when I pass out. Then up, back to work, and repeat. Running errands takes forever now with one, so I can't imagine trying to run a household, two kids, and have a job at the same time. At least for the first few years. After they got a bit older and were in preschool, I can see working with more than one. </p> <p>@oliviaoblivia: I think this would be the only other option than having 2 in daycare. He would be so bored!! And I want LMW to also experience the preschool environment. It's expensive, but me working almost full time and sending both to daycare is still a better financial decision for us (my pay covers their daycare plus several hundred a month). After DS we are using a private sitter for both. We thought with 2, possibly my husband watches them 1 day a week, maybe ILs 1 day a week. That way we'll only be paying for 3 days a week. And possibly if I could get away with working from home 1 day taking it down to 2 days a week of day care? </p>
