I was afraid my LO would start to rely on his swing for naps, but that changed when he was probably 8 or 9 weeks old. He became a great crib napper and never falls asleep in his swing anymore. I really don't think it's possible to spoil a baby under 3 months old!

You will not spoil your baby at that age. They are still not aware of much and they are not able to self-soothe so it's ok to comfort them for naps by holding them until they fall asleep. I was really strict and made sure my LO slept in her crib instead of a swing or carrier, and I wish I wouldn't have been. They're only tiny for so long and I would love to go back and have that snuggle time with her again.

DD was pretty much perma-attached to me for the first 3 months. She's finally started taking naps in her pak n play and started being happier on her own now that she is a bit more mobile. I don't think wearing your lo in the house is going to spoil them, I would've loved to wear DD but she hates being worn at home. lol

at 7 weeks, they are (in my opinion) impossible to spoil. They need that precious sleep more than anything. FWIW, LO slept in her carrier, swing and on top of me for most of her naps in the early days. Now she is happily napping in her crip as I type this. Enjoy those cuddly sleepy moments while you can!

Personally, at that point, I was doing whatever it took to get my kids to sleep for long periods, even if that meant letting them sleep in the bouncy chair or holding them for naps. At around 3 months both of them started extending their sleep on their own, and no longer needed me to stay asleep. I'ts really personal choice, though, on what makes you feel the most comfortable.

Usually, we have to hold our baby until he falls asleep. When we put him down, he stirs but he can get himself back to sleep. Sometimes though, he'll wake up after only an hour or less into his nap, and I can tell he is still sleepy, so I will put him in my carrier and start the process over again. I sometimes think he might just sleep longer while I wear him in my Sleepy Wrap. Should I just stick to putting him down even though he will only be sleeping for a little bit more?
