Kate Middleton lounged around for almost ten years with very little "work" being done and lots of vacations being taken. That's great that her family supported her and she didn't have to work to live but I think it shows a lack of dedication and passion for anything.</p> <p>ETA - I do think she's pretty and dresses well. I do remember her death and realixing for the first time princesses are people too. The die normal, but tragic deaths just like anyone else. I also remember feeling sad for Prince Will and Harry because they lost their mom. </p> <p>Duchess Kate will soon give birth to the future king or queen. She seems to be in a loving marriage, so her story is already happier. She has a more real rags to royalty story than Princess Di did. She dresses completely well and styles herself, does her own hair and make up- all goid things. I don't think there can ever be a comparison.</p> <p>This is a weird way to make a distinction, but I truly believe Kate fell in love with Will, and married him in spite of him being a royal, not because of. I have the feeling that while she does carry out her royal duties with grace and enthusiasm, she would be just as happy to have a "normal life." On the other hand, Princess Di had more of an arranged marriage, and I think she found true purpose in all the charitable things she was involved in, and in really being "the people's princess." I was never that into princess Di, though she did die while I was young. I love Kate and she seems to be a sweetheart who genuinely loved to help people. It seems people are comparing her and Di but I think Kate will prove herself to be her own magnificent person apart from Di. </p> <p>She is iconic to me for sure! I also agree with others that only two years as a princess, she is already so graceful and lovely. Imagine who she could be given 10 years!
