My LO started daycare at 8 weeks and received only bottles during the 10 hrs I was away. We had no problems with latch; I stopped pumping around 12m but continued nursing till 14m.

My LO went to daycare at 12 weeks for about 10 hour days and has done wonderfully with bottles. We may be dealing with a bit of reverse cycling but we will see!

Similar to Lozza, I went back to work when my son was 8 weeks old and I was away from him from 7am to 6pm 5x/week. I pumped at work and he got bottles at daycare. I would nurse him in the morning, for the first 6 months I would go to his daycare and nurse him at lunch, and then I'd do two evening sessions and any middle of the night sessions. It was important to find the right bottle and keep the nipple on the slowest flow to help him not develop bottle preference but MAM with the newborn nipple was great for us. There were a couple nursing strikes but usually associated with a cold or ear infection that made it hard to nurse comfortably but he'd always go back to the breast when he started feeling better.

I went back to work when LO was 9 weeks old, and was generally away from LO 5 days/week from 6:30 AM till 6 PM. I pumped at work and he got bottles at daycare, and I really don't think we had any problems with breastfeeding at that point... like many, many other kids I know who had similar arrangements, he went through a couple short phases during that first year of life when he seemed to prefer a bottle, but all of those passed and we did fine with the breastfeeding. My pumping output fizzled over time and I eventually gave it up when DS was ~9 months old, but continued to BF at night and first thing in the morning till he was almost a year old.

I return to work next Monday and i work 10 am to 10 pm 3 times a week. I've been BF LO since the begtinning (shes 8 weeks old), and we've been giiving one bottle of pumped milk every couple of days with no problems. Since LO will be getting bottles all day while I'm at work, I'm nervous she will forget how to latch correctly or will start to prefer the bottle. How likely is that? I really don't want to stop BF her yet.
