I nap trained and night trained at the same time so I'm not sure if one affects the other when done separately.

@NovBaby1112: I am hoping sooooo much that happens with H! Yes I'm going to have to figure out when she needs another nap here shortly! I am so drained from having to be so stressed about her crying!!!!

I don't think that doing that for just 1 nap will mess up her night sleep. Just make sure she isn't overtired bc then she may have more wake ups at night. Babies differentiate day and night sleep so I am sure you will be fine tonight. Do nap training when you feel ready. For what it's worth, I nursed my 8 month old to sleep for all naps, but starting last week she refused to nurse to sleep for her morning nap, so I just plopped her in the crib to see what would happen. She cried for 3 mins and passed out. Ever since then I have been able to put her in the crib awake and she'll either fuss for a few or just go to bed. I don't want to jinx anything, but it was seriously so much easier than I ever thought, so I bet when your lo is ready she will do the same. She went from "omg need to nurse and be totally asleep or ill scream once I hit the mattress" to "oh ok I can put myself to sleep now, don't need you anymore mom!"

I recently sleep trained my LO w/CIO. I am drained but she's doing great, sleeping 730-730 w/a 530 wakeup to feed.

I've still been nursing to sleep for naps.

Today she was so tired and ready for her nap. She nursed but would not go all the way to sleep. I needed to use the bathroom and let the dog out. I was getting exhausted from trying to get her down so I took a chance and just dropped her in the crib, knowing she was fed/clean/tired. She cried on and off for 30 mins, dozing here and there. Obviously I was hoping she'd fall asleep in less than a minute like she does for bed. After 30 minutes, she woke up for good screaming her face off so I just went and got her.

I also realized that I am not ready to nap train, bc I'n still too emotionally drained from sleep training.

Do you think that this little experiment is going to confuse her or affect her sleep training? Does nap training typically mess with night sleep?

She's been doing AWESOME and I dont want to screw it up! My husband comes home after being gone 3 weeks today- I want her to go down as painless as possible and STAY DOWN!!!
