I didn't often make them match. Usually I would do coordinating and when I did that it was only for pictures.

I am not a multiple, but have three sisters and my mum used to make us dresses or buy dresses that were the same. We all looked quite cute. That was probably until I was about 5, oldest sibling 10 and youngest 1 when we were matching. Definitely saving money when they're homemade and cute to look back on, but maybe not as an everyday thing.

I am a twin and I abhor dressing multiples matchy matchy. My mom would dress one of us in one color (pink) and the other in another color (purple). This was ALWAYS the same. That was okay, but still it is nice to "know" who is who in pictures.

Occasionally it is fun to match but not on an everyday. Also, I envy all you all that can put together outfits. I can pick a pair of pants, a shirt and underwear out of the bins for my kids. If they match yay. If not well I am eclectic.

my good friend has twin girls and they are almost never matching but when they are they have the same outfit in different colors

There's another mom with fraternal twin girls and she dresses them the same and it's the cutest!

I often seen sisters dressed in the exact same outfit too. There are sisters that look identical but are 2 years apart at LO's school and they often wear matching outfits

I think in some ways it's easier having matching outfits especially as they get older bc there's no meltdowns over what the other kid is wearing. And if they have strong opinions over what they wear they can just pick different outfits but at least you have two sets so if they want to wear the same shirt you don't have to pick which kid gets to wear it that day

In theory, I love the idea of matching/coordinating. In practice, I'd probably be way too lazy to do it very often. In the early days when we were going through multiple outfits a day and I didn't want to buy too much newborn sized stuff, it never would've happened. At least not for very long. And now, we're so lazy that we just pull clean clothes out of the laundry basket. Matching would take much more effort, lol.

I'm a bit against the norm I think because I am not a fan of dressing my twin girls alike. They have such different personalities, looks etc and I think certain clothes are more fitting to each girl. I like them being independent, separate little girls and dressing them as such. We do have/been given two sets of clothes but I can count on one hand the times we've dressed them alike. Plus, to be completely honest, I don't have the time or patience to keep their sets of identical clothes laundered & folded together

Eta: every once in a while we do dress them coordinating or the same shirt but in different colors, etc....but it's usually just one item, not the whole outfit.

Don't have twins, but matching twins are cute! I do like the idea of coordinating instead. However, I still mistaken the two sometimes (DH has twin cousins). oops!

We rarely dressed them exactly alike. Typically, we try to have them coordinate instead. That way they look cute and similarly dressed, but it's easier for people to identify which one is which one. Now that they are a little older, I will pick out a couple of things and let them choose which shirt they wear, etc.

I don't have multiples but I think matching is cute! I def wouldn't do it every single day, though, and prefer coordinating looks over matching identically. I would stop when they form opinions on their own clothes (~2 yrs old).

I greatly dislike multiples that are dressed identical. When I nannied for a set of twins I only dressed them in the same outfit every once in a blue moon. They are different kids and I would hate for them to be known as The Twins/ Triplets.

There is a pair of 2 year old twins in a class we take, who are always dressed identically. I feel bad because I don't know which is which so I never say their names like I do to the other kids. They look cute though.

It's hard to find matching boy/girl clothes that aren't really expensive, so I like dressing them in coordinating colors/patterns. Yesterday Alice was in a turquoise top with yellow accents, while Blake wore a navy blue, turquoise, and yellow striped top. That works well for us, although for special occasions I like to make them matchy matchy.
