I am a fan of natural consequences. If he's late for a dinner, I would go without him... it might help him change, but I think it's also important to set an example for the kids!

That really sucks!

I wonder if maybe your DH could put a daily reminder on his phone for shortly before his "normal"/scheduled off time so he'll have a little extra help remembering to let you know.

I'd count on him not changing. I'm mostly the one running late so DH lies about how much time I have left to get ready or what time we need to leave. Needless to say it helps me be on time lol

I've posted before about my DH being late and it drives me nuts!

Well lately he is late coming home from work. He has a really demanding job, and they do pay him really well, especially for over time.. so that is fine. But he never remembers to let me know if he is going to be late/what time he will be home. He knows I worry. He said he would be home around 4:30. So I rounded up to 5 because he is usually late. Well it is now 6 and I haven't heard from him. It makes me sick with worry. I have told him CONSTANTLY he needs to at least shoot me an email or call me to let me know he is going to be late, but he rarely remembers. Or he will email me when he is already 2 hours late to tell me he is going to be late. GAH! We are supposed to be going to our neighbours tonight, so they said to come over around 5. I texted her at 515 letting her know that DH still wasn't home, and she said no problem, but she already had dinner made! I feel so bad!

Sorry.. more of just a vent.. but if you have any suggestions please feel free to share! He's been late/bad at letting me know he is running late for 9 years. I have lost all hope!
